We all enjoyed our time with Mr Habib and I look forward to taking my Year 10 group there in the near future. Mr Cunningham, Head of Religious Studies Lunchtime Concerts There have been four informal lunchtime concerts this year featuring soloists of all ability lev- els. Always well attended, these are a relaxed oppor- tunity to share individual performances with friends, parents and teachers in the wonderful setting of our recital room. In November the traditional Year 7 lunch- time concert was much enjoyed by classmates of all the performers. Highlights were Oliver Hume’s pi- ano playing and Will Greaves’ performance of Black Night on the electric guitar. Will Greaves, James Breach, Josh Burson, Nicholas Atherfold and Oliver Hume. In the February and March concerts we en- joyed the accomplished violin playing of Josh Bur- son and James Breach especially the folk duet they had learned with their teacher. In March we also heard a moving arrangement of Now the green blade riseth sung by the Chamber Choir under the expert direction of our singing teacher Mr Tim Hamilton. In June our final concert of the year show- cased performances of boys taking individual grade exams this term – pianists: Lucas Dallon and Har- ry Osborne as well as singers: James Hanley, Rob Pleasance and Tom Wittke. Keen to perform again, violinist James Breach returned, this time with a sty- listically convincing Tango. Mrs Head, Music Teacher
